Seth Hull, guitar

A guitarist and music educator originally from Boise, ID, Seth holds a Master’s Degree in Guitar Performance from the University of Idaho, where he studied Classical guitar under James Reid. He completed additional undergraduate degrees in Music Composition, Spanish, and French at the same institution.

Seth holds a second Master’s Degree in Musicology from Florida State University, where he wrote his thesis on 19th-century American hymnody. He is a scholar of South American Folk music, having lived in Argentina and briefly studied in Chile, and was the director of the Florida State University Andean Ensemble. An amateur luthier, he enjoys building and performing on folk instruments from the Andes.

As an active performer that enjoys diverse styles of music, Seth regularly performs Classical, Folk, Jazz, and Latin American repertoire. He joined the Sarasota Conservatory Faculty in the Spring of 2025.
