Valentina Dontsov

Mrs. Dontsov started her teaching career during her study at Odessa State Conservatory. She taught at various Music Schools in Odessa, Ukraine and Saint Petersburg, Russia where she also performed as a Piano Trio Soloist and Accompanist.

After immigrating to the United States, Valentina pursued a career as a private piano instructor, establishing her own piano studio in Calabasas, California. She was also affiliated with the Los Angeles Unified School District teaching children with special needs.

Mrs. Dontsov is a member of MTAC and MTNA. She served as a President of MTAC SFWV Branch from 2010 to 2012 and is currently on the Board of Directors for the Sarasota Music Teachers Association.

Her students successfully performed at many prestigious concert halls in Los Angeles area such as the Civic Arts Plaza in Thousand Oaks, Pepperdine Center for the Arts in Malibu and Steinway Piano Gallery in Beverly Hills.

After moving to Florida, Mrs. Dontsov is enthusiastic about the opportunity to join the Sarasota Music Conservatory and share her skills, knowledge and experience in music with her students.

Valentina's lessons are designed to meet the specific needs of each student by using a variety of European and American methods. She helps them to choose their own path from recitals and various performances to the Certificate of Merit Evaluation Program.
