Selena Shen wins 1st place at SMC Annual Concerto Competition and will perform Sibelius Violin Concerto - 1st movement with the Pops Orchestra of Sarasota and Bradenton, May 2, 2026 at Neel Auditorium.

Leo Chen wins 2nd place at SMC Annual Concerto Competition and will perform Bruch Violin Concerto - Finale with the Pops Orchestra of Sarasota and Bradenton, May 2, 2026 at Neel Auditorium.

SMC and The Perlman Music Program Side by Side
SMC and The Perlman Music Program Winter Residency collaborated for a Side by Side unique experience! 10 Conservatory string students played Benjamin Britten’s “Simple Symphony” under the direction of Maestro Itzhak Perlman in an open rehearsal at Church of the Palms. Seating side-by-side with PMP participants, who come from all over the globe.
